FDA Required

When a blood test is ran in a laboratory for any illness, the FDA requires that a positive control sample be ran along side the new patient’s blood sample; this is to ensure the accuracy and validity of the test kit and the results. In order to ensure the best quality and accuracy for these positive control samples, the FDA requires that, if possible, it comes from human plasma.  The only way to get this needed material is from consenting adult plasma donors who have an infectious disease - like hepatitis a or hepatitis b, or any needed autoimmune disease.

Education is Key

Part of Biolynk’s mission is to educate physicians and potential plasma donors in their opportunity to help procure high qualify control material.  Since physicians have direct access to their patients, they can play a vital role in letting their patients know about our program and how much we need qualified patients to donate.  By inviting qualified donors to participate in our Plasma Donation Program, physicians are ensuring the accuracy and available of test kits for their patients.  When a qualified patient agrees to participate in donating plasma, they are not only helping out healthcare and the test kit industry, they are also able to receive compensation for their efforts.

Plasma Donation

When a patients qualifies to donate their plasma, Biolynk’s Plasma Donation Program takes care of it all!  The donor is scheduled to donate at an FDA licensed disease-state plasma donation facility.  If a facility is not located close to where the donor lives, Biolynk will cover all travel expenses (flight, drive, hotel, car service) associated with providing successful plasma donations.  Donating plasma is simple, safe, and easy.  The center will collect blood (generally from an arm) and the plasmapheresis machine will spin your blood down in a centrifuge.  This spinning motion allows for the separation of plasma and red blood cells.  Your red blood cells will then be returned back to you with a saline solution - collecting only the plasma portion of your blood.  The FDA allows for two plasma donations in a 7-day period.

We Need You!

Biolynk’s Plasma Donation Program recruits potential donors from all over the United States.  We NEED people who are diagnosed with certain types of illnesses, are creating specific antibodies at very high levels, and are willing to donate their plasma at an FDA licensed plasma donation facility.  Once a donor finds our program, they love the opportunity to help out other people, help out healthcare, and also receive compensation in the process (up to $500 per donation).  A donor can continue to donate their plasma as long as their antibodies stay high - receiving compensation each time they donate.  If you or anyone you know meets our donor qualifications, please let them know about our Plasma Donation Program, and let Biolynk do the rest.
