By being involved in our donor program, you ensure the availability and accuracy of laboratory test kits all over the country.

Please help assist us in our effort to meet the needs of our nation's healthcare by providing quick and accurate infectious disease, autoimmune disease, and hepatitis testing.

What is the Plasma Donation Program?

When you send a patientís blood sample to a laboratory for autoimmune disease, infectious disease or hepatitis testing, the FDA requires that a quality control group be run with the test to make sure it is working properly. The FDA also requires that this vital quality control material come from human sera (this ensures the utmost accuracy for the test kit). The only way to get this needed material is from consenting adult plasma donors who have the disease.p>

Biolynk's Plasma Donation Program educates and recruits healthcare providers who have direct contact with patients who have been diagnosed with certain illnesses such as hepatits A, hepatitis B, Celiac disease, etc. Specifically, we look for patients who have been diagnosed with an infectious disease in the past 2-3 weeks (Infectious Disease List), we also look for patients who have ever been diagnosed with an autoimmune disease (Autoimmune Disease List), and we have an antibody recruitment program for patients who carry rare, polyclonal blood antibodies (Polyclonal Antibody List).

Why do we need your help?

Over the years Biolynk has worked with many esoteric laboratories to find hepatitis, autoimmune disease, and other infectious disease patients to maintain this vital control material. Due to HIPAA, antibody recruitment has become a lot more regulatory; we are no longer able to contact patients directly to inform them of their opportunity to donate and help. As a doctor or healthcare facility, you have direct contact with many patients everyday; some of these patients would qualify to participate in our program.

We need more healthcare providers who are willing to inform these qualified patients about our Plasma Donation Program and their opportunity to help prevent Hepatitis A, other infectious diseases and further treatment options for autoimmune diseases. When Biolynk is unable to find patients to donate for this FDA required control material, test kits go on back order, your tests are not run, and patients cannot be diagnosed.

How does it benefit you?

The benefits of Biolynk's Plasma Donation Program to you are two-fold:
  • This program links the healthcare industry as a whole, helping to provide the necessary material for diagnostic tests to be run. Your participation helps to maintain hepatitis testing and autoimmune disease test kit availability.
  • Your patients are compensated for their participation (up to $500 per donation). This income often helps your patient at a time when they are out of work due to their illness. Income for your patient can help with healthcare bills, medicine, etc.

If you see patients who have been diagnosed with any one of our needed diseases, such as hep a, hep b, and a variety of autoimmune diseases, and if your patients meet our specific donor qualifications, we would appreciate the chance to speak to you further about how you can inform your patients of their unique opportunity to help healthcare. By offering your patients this opportunity, you show them that you have their best interests at heart.
